Intro

Some time ago I noticed that data was all around me in my daily work. Dirty and unused data.

As I work in a traditionally analog organization, I also saw misused technologies, lost oportunities to be more agile and lost knowledge.

Being a proactive and a self-starter person, I started to read, to learn and to apply my problem-solving skills to the problems at hand. I enjoyed (I'm still enjoying) the learning, and I ended up with a set of skills in data analysis, digital transformation and knowledge management.

Now, I want it to be my only job.

Data

Data has been driving my decisions my whole life. I love data.

Since 2016 though, I've been working on my skills to take advantage of the technology and the datasets available. This has led me to learn some useful tools:

Excel. My first love when it comes to process data. Makes it super easy to everyone to clean, read, analyze and present data. See it here.

SQL. Even if I've worked less with SQL databases, it's a super powerful tool which I have tested in LAMP stacks for CRUD utilities. Developing a database server concept for my job and seeing the power it can deliver was real fun! Demo video.
I know how to query with SQL.

Power BI. I call it the supercharged Excel brother for analysis. Totally in love with its capabilities and use cases. See some of my dashboards.

Python. Last, but not least. It's my newest tool, which I use for exploratory data analysis right now, but with so many things it can acomplish. Check it out!

Digital

Following the agile manifesto, I've been using Scrum and Kanban to lead digital transformation and knowledge management projects.

The spark of implementing these projects in my analog organization lit a fire in my head in 2016, so I self-taught program management.

The stakeholders had to be managed and briefed about the scope and strategic objectives they could expect.

Collecting requirements has been a real challenge, since I have to coach all kind of users about what they can expect from a digital organization.

I've been in close contact not only with the highest level management (CEO equivalent in an organization of 2k personnel) but also with the lowest level operators to model the processes and to deliver the reengineered solution as an effective tool for everyone.

I've provided training at all levels. (See some of my knowledge pills)

The first data deliverables and use cases have been chosen to maximize impact and adoption, and have been communicated through a team of remote members to spread "the word" (the digital word).

The outcome is an increasingly digital organization that makes data-driven decisions, with self-organized teams in each sub-department that coordinate among them using agile methods to deliver digital products.

You can find in my GitHub a draft of my projects' documentation.
